Emergency services rush to scene of car fire at Blanchardstown Retail Park

Emergency services are currently at the scene of a car on fire at Blanchardstown Retail Park.

The incident happened at around 1:35pm this afternoon and gardai have put traffic diversions in place. Thankfully, no injuries have been reported.

Dublin Fire Brigade are also at the scene and have extinguished the fire. Photographs show extensive damage to the interior of the car.

A garda spokesman told Dublin Live: "Gardai and emergency services are attending an incident involving a vehicle on fire in the Blanchardstown Retail Park area of Dublin City, Co Dublin that occurred at approximately 1:35pm today, Monday, 22 August 2022.

"No injuries have been reported and diversions are in place while the scene is being attended. No further information is available at this time."
