A man has been injured following a shooting in west Dublin.
The incident occurred at around 5:30pm on Saturday evening in Mulhuddart, west Dublin.
Emergency services rushed to the scene and provided treatment for the injured man.
The victim, whose age is not known, was shot twice in the stomach during the incident.
The man is in a 'serious' condition and has been rushed to hospital.
In a statement, gardai said: "Gardaí are at scene of shooting incident which occurred in Mulhuddart, Dublin 15, this evening Saturday 29th June, 2019 at approximately 5:30pm.
"A man (age unknown) has been removed to hospital (unknown which hospital) in a serious condition.
"Investigations are ongoing."
