Emergency services rush to scene after crash near nursery

Emergency services rushed to a busy road in Whiston Village after reports of a crash.

Traffic appeared to be building near Noodles Nursery around 11.30am on Wednesday morning following the incident. Fire crews and police were seen at the scene.

Concerned passers-by took to social media to ask what had happened as witnesses said armed police were reportedly seen in the area. Police confirmed to the ECHO there was a two car collision reported at around 11.30am at Dragon Lane.

Emergency services attended the crash, which involved a black Land Rover Discovery and red Ford Kuga. The road has since been cleared and there are no issues at present, police said.
