Emergency services rush to Queensferry Crossing after crash on busy Scots bridge

A vehicle crash has occurred on a busy Scots bridge as emergency services rush to the scene.

It happened on the A9 at the Queensferry Crossing around 4.20pm on Thursday July 15.

Lane 2 northbound was initially closed but re-opened at around 4.35pm, according to Traffic Scotland.

However, traffic remains heavy back to the Kirkliston Flyover with delays of approximately 20 minutes expected.

The condition of the drivers and any passengers remains unknown.

The Queensferry Crossing opened to traffic on August 30, 2017 after a Scottish Government investment of over £1.3 billion.
