Emergency services rush to Perth city centre street after reports of concern for a person

Emergency services rushed to Perth 's Canal Street this morning, responding to a report of concern for a person.

Parts of the road were blocked off while the incident, which involved a 20-year-old woman, was resolved.

The ambulance service, fire service and officers from Police Scotland were all on the scene.

A police spokesperson said: "Police were called around 9.40am on Wednesday, November 17, 2020, following the report of a concern for person on Canal Street, Perth.

"Officers attended and a 20-year-old woman has been passed to the care of ambulance staff.

"No further police action."

Residents urged to "play their part" in exiting level three COVID restrictions

A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson added: "We were requested at 10.01am on Wednesday, November 18 to assist our police partners in Perth.

"Operations Control mobilised three appliances and a line rescue unit to the scene at Canal Street, where crews worked to support their partners before leaving the scene."
