Emergency services have rushed to an "ongoing incident" in Glasgow's city centre this morning.

Police Scotland are currently attending the scene on Holland Street, where the incident is taking place.

Officers received reports of a disturbance at about 9.45am.

A police spokesman confirmed they were in attendance at the scene and said: "We are currently attending an ongoing disturbance.

"The report came in to us at 9.45am."

One eyewitness said: "I was just walking to work on Sauchiehall Street having just a coffee. I heard sirens and then at least five, maybe more police sprinting down Holland Street.

"Shortly after, they came out of the close door, carrying a guy, before putting him in the back of the police van.

"A really big presence so it must have been fairly significant."

One 29-year-old man has now been arrested and will appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court tomorrow.
