Emergency services have rushed to Victoria Bridge this morning due to an "ongoing incident".
The bridge, on Gorbals Street, is closed to traffic between Ballater Street and Clyde Street until further notice.
Glasgow City Council has confirmed that emergency services are in attendance and advised drivers to avoid the area if possible.
A statement from the local authority reads: "Due to an ongoing Police Incident, Victoria Bridge (Gorbals Street) between Ballater Street and Clyde Street, is closed to all traffic until further notice.
"Emergency Services are in attendance and road users should avoid this location if possible. Further bulletins will be issued as more information becomes available."
Drivers should follow police direction for diversions.
