Emergency services have raced to the scene of a multi-vehicle crash on the M8 motorway.
All four lanes on the eastbound carriageway at junction 15, near to Townhead to the north of Glasgow city centre, have been closed as a result.
A photo shared by Traffic Scotland on Twitter shows several vehicles involved, including a car which appears to have struck the central reservation barrier.
Traffic Scotland said: "Multi vehicle RTC on the #M8 E/B at J15 blocking 4 lanes Police are in attendance Do expect delays!!"
A Police Scotland spokesperson confirmed: "We got the call at 2.30pm this afternoon.
"We have got a report of four vehicles being involved.
"The M8 is closed at junction 15 and 14, on the eastbound carriageway."
UPDATE 15.01pm: Traffic Scotland have since confirmed to Glasgow Live: "The road isn't closed, cars are able to pass using lane 1 of 5. It's just extremely slow and busy."
UPDATE 15.52pm: "Lanes 1 and 2 are now running! 3 - 5 remain CLOSED while services deal with the remainder of the vehicles."
