Emergency services rush to Morningside as car flips on quiet residential street

Emergency services rushed to the the bottom of Morningside yesterday after a car overturned.

Police and paramedics were pictured at the scene on Cluny Gardens at around 2pm on Monday afternoon.

At present, the cause of the accident is unknown, however the vehicle can be seen completely flipped on the quiet residential street.

The blue Vauxhall Astra also appears to have overturned at a section of the road that sits on a sharp bend, near Braid Tennis club.

One eyewitness to the incident stated that the car had driven down the road "at great speed" before the incident occurred.

A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: "Officers attended a crash involving two cars at Cluny Gardens in Edniburgh at 1.45pm yesterday (24 August). There were no reports of any injuries."
