Emergency services rush to incident at Scots train station as area cordoned off

Emergency services have raced to a Scots train station following a major incident.

Garrowhill train station in Glasgow is currently cordoned off, with several emergency vehicles at the scene as officers blocked off the area.

The exact circumstances surrounding the incident are not yet known.

Several train services have been cancelled by ScotRail who are working closely with the emergency services and travellers are being urged to arrange alternative transport.

ScotRail tweeted: "Unfortunately we have had reports of an incident between Airdrie and Queen St low level.

"We are working closely with emergency services during this time and will keep you updated."

They added: "Due to the ongoing incident and no alternative transport at the moment, customers should be advised to make their own arrangements at present."
