Emergency services rush to Glasgow train station amid reports of 'incident'

Emergency services rushed to a Glasgow train station last night amid reports of an incident.

A major police presence was seen at Garrowhill Train Station in the east end of the city, with multiple police cars and officers at the scene.

ScotRail confirmed the incident occurred between Airdrie and Queen Street Low Level stations. The extent of any injuries is not currently known at this time.

The rail firm tweeted: "Unfortunately we have had reports of an incident between Airdrie and Queen St low level.

"We are working closely with emergency services during this time and will keep you updated."

They added: "Due to the ongoing incident and no alternative transport at the moment, customers should be advised to make their own arrangements at present."

British Transport Police have been contacted for comment. We'll bring you all the latest on this story as we have it.
