Emergency services rush to Glasgow fire as Saracen Street is closed by police

Emergency Services have rushed to a blaze in Possilpark and are still on the scene.

Fire crews and police sped to Saracen Street after they received a call regarding a fire at 4.28pm this afternoon.

Three fire appliances are still in attendance whilst officers have been pictured blocking off the road to members of the public.

It is currently unclear whether anyone has been injured or which buildings have been impacted by the inferno.

A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "We received a call this afternoon at 4.28pm about fire on Saracen Street.

"The fire service attended and we still have three appliances in attendance at the moment.

Police Scotland confirmed that they are also on the scene.
