Emergency services rush to Drumchapel high rise flats after reports of injured person

Emergency services have rushed to the scene of a high-rise flat in the Drumchapel area of Glasgow this evening following reports of an injured person.

Police Scotland confirmed they attended the scene on Linkwood Crescent at 7.20pm this evening after receiving calls about the incident.

Officers currently remain at the scene of the incident.

An eyewitness told Glasgow Live that ambulance crews were also in attendance at the high rise.

The extent of the person's injuries is not known at this time.

A police spokeswoman said: "Police were called to reports of someone injured in Linkwood Crescent, Drumchapel at around 7.20pm.

"Officers remain at the scene and incident is ongoing."
