Emergency services rush to Cowcaddens as roads closed in ongoing incident

Emergency services have rushed to an ongoing in Cowcaddens that began earlier today.

The incident occurred at around 11.55am between Shamrock Street and New City Road. Officers remain in attendance at the scene and the road is cordoned off to all members of the public.

It is not currently known if anyone has been injured in the disturbance.

Police Scotland has confirmed they remain in attendance and appealed for anyone with information about the incident to contact them.

A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: "Around 11.55am on Monday, 5 October, police were called to reports of a disturbance on Shamrock Street.

"Officers are in attendance are currently being carried out and Shamrock Street to New City Road is closed while enquiries are being carried out.

If anyone was in the Shamrock Street area or has seen something, they are asked to contact police."
