Emergency services rushed to a 'chemical incident' at CalaChem in Grangemouth.
Police, fire and ambulance crews raced to the scene on Earls Road in the town after being alerted to the spillage around 12.40pm on Wednesday March 16.
Five fire engines and four ambulance vehicles were seen in attendance at the incident.
A 40-year-old man has been taken to hospital, but his condition is not known at this stage.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 12.40 pm on Wednesday, 16 March 2022, police were made aware of a chemical spillage at business premises in Earls Road, Grangemouth.
A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "We were alerted at 12.38pm on Wednesday, 16 March to an incident at a commercial premise on Earls Road, Grangemouth.
"Operations Control mobilised three appliances and specialist resources to the scene to assist onsite specialists due to potentially hazardous materials.
"One adult male was handed into the care of paramedics.
"Firefighters left after making the area safe."
A Scottish Ambulance Service spokesperson said: "We received a call at 12:33 to attend an incident on Earl’s Road, Grangemouth.
"An ambulance, a critical care paramedic and our special operations response team (SORT) were dispatched to the scene and one patient was taken to Forth Valley Royal Hospital."
