Emergency services respond to Sutton-in-Ashfield crash

Police, paramedics and the fire service were called to a Sutton-in-Ashfield road after a two car crash.

The incident happened at around 1pm on Friday, December 27, in Huthwaite Road.

Police arrived at the scene at 1.05pm, followed by the fire service at 1.11pm.

The road was closed while the incident was dealt with.

Police said two people - the drivers of both cars - suffered minor injuries as a result of the crash.

A spokesman for Nottinghamshire Police said: "The crash happened between two vehicles.

"We were called at around 1.05pm. Two people suffered minor injuries not believed to be life-threatening or life-altering. The road is now reopened."

A spokesman for the fire service added: "Crews stabilised the vehicle. One person extricated themselves from the vehicle. They were left in the care of East Midlands Ambulance Service.

"The scene was left with Nottinghamshire Police."
