Emergency services respond to incident near Coatbridge Sunnyside railway station

Trains have been disrupted due to an 'emergency incident' near Coatbridge Sunnyside railway station.

ScotRail confirmed trains are no longer calling at the station to the north of Glasgow, with emergency services on site.

Glasgow to Milngavie/Dalmuir/Balloch and Helensburgh services have been affected.

ScotRail say: "Train services are currently unable to call at Coatbridge Sunnyside, while the emergency services deal with an incident near the railway.

"Blairhill or Coatdyke are the nearest stations."

Glasgow Live have contacted British Transport Police and Police Scotland for comment.
