Three crews from Long Eaton, Highfields and Stapleford fire stations were called to the scene in Acton Road at around 2.30pm on Wednesday, May 13.

Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service confirmed to Nottinghamshire Live that the fire had started in the kitchen and was being dealt with by crews.

As of 3.45pm on Wednesday, only the Long Eaton fire crew remained at the scene.

There were no reports of any injuries but an ambulance was called as a precaution, the fire service confirmed.

An East Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman added: "We received a call at 2.33pm on May 13 to a private address in Long Eaton.

"We currently have a paramedic in a fast response car and an ambulance at the scene.”
