Emergency services were called to help rescue a man who was standing on the roof of a car park building close to Stockport train station.
Crew members from Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service (GMFRS) were called to an incident on Railway Road in Stockport at around 12pm on Thursday afternoon (June 3).
Crews from Greater Manchester Police and North West Ambulance Service (NWAS) were also in attendance.
A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service (GMFRS) said: “Just after 12pm on Thursday 3 June, three fire engines from Offerton, Cheadle and Gorton, the Technical Response Unit from Leigh, and the Turntable Ladder from Manchester Central were called to an incident on Railway Road, Stockport.
“Firefighters arrived quickly at the scene, and with the help of Police personnel rescued one man from the roof of a building.
“Crews were in attendance for around one hour.”
A spokesperson for North West Ambulance Service (NWAS) confirmed that a patient had been taken to hospital following the incident.
