Emergency services race to serious crash as Scots road locked down

Police have shutdown an Aberdeenshire road following a serious early morning crash.

Officers raced to the A98 near Tyrie where the collision occurred between between Fraserburgh and Banff at 5.45am on Friday October 8.

The circumstances surrounding the crash, or details of any injuries suffered as a result, are not known at this time.

Emergency services raced to the scene and shut the road, which remains closed.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Officers were called at around 5.45am on Friday, 8 October, 2021, following a serious road traffic collision which happened on the A98 near to Tyrie, between Fraserburgh and Banff.

“The road is currently closed and emergency services are at the scene.”
