Emergency services race to Scots beach as road remains closed

Emergency services have raced to a Scots beach as they closed off the road.

The A78 at Seamill beach is currently closed off to vehicles due to an ongoing incident.

Bomb disposal units have been seen on the beach and a controlled explosion is thought to be taking place.

The circumstances surrounding the incident are not yet clear.

Police Scotland have been contacted by the Daily Record for comment.
