Emergency services race to scene of horror smash on Scots road as motor left badly damaged

Emergency services have raced to the scene of a serious smash in Grangemouth.

Police, fire and ambulance crews were called to reports of a car hitting a tree on Union Road, shortly after 8.30pm on Friday August 20.

The road is currently closed in both directions.

Pictures show police have blocked off the road, with another showing the badly damaged motor at the scene.

It’s not known if anyone has been injured.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We received a report of a one car crash on Union Road at the junction with Kerse Road in Grangemouth around 8.35pm on Friday, 20 August, 2021.

“Emergency services are in attendance.”
