Emergency services race to ongoing incident outside Scots hotel

Emergency services have raced to an ongoing incident outside a Midlothian hotel this afternoon.

Police and ambulance crews scrambled to the A7 at Lothian Bridge following a car crash outside the Sun Inn in Dalkeith at around 1.17pm.

Pictures from the scene show two police vans and an ambulance in attendance.

It's not yet clear the extent of any injuries as a result of the crash.

Emergency services remain at the scene.

A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: "Officers were called to the report of a road traffic crash near to The Sun Inn, Lothian Bridge at around 1.17pm today, Friday, March 5, 2021.

"Emergency services are in attendance."

The Scottish Ambulance Service has been approached by the Daily Record for a comment.
