Emergency services race to late night blaze in Glasgow

Emergency services raced to a late night blaze in Glasgow on Wednesday.

Cops locked down the area around 10pm as fire crews battled a blaze at a building on Victoria Road.

Motorists were being urged to avoid the area to allow emergency services to deal with the incident.

The fire has now been extinguished and fire fighters have left the scene.

A spokesperson for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said: "We received a call at 10pm to reports of a building on fire at Victoria Road, Glasgow.

"We mobilised six appliances to the incident and our crews have now left."
