Emergency services race to horror two-vehicle crash on A716 as man hospitalised

A man has been rushed to hospital following a horror crash in the Borders.

Emergency services were called to the scene of a two-vehicle smash on the A716 near itsjunction with Craigencrosh, near Stranraer around 4pm on Saturday March 27.

Pictures from the scene show crews attending the crash, which is believed to have involved a tractor and another car.

Police, Scottish Fire and Rescue and Scottish Ambulance Service are all in attendance.

One man was taken to hospital, however his condition is not know at this time.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 4pm, police received a report of a collision involving two vehicles on the A716 Principal Road, near Stranraer.

“Emergency services are in attendance and one man has been taken to hospital.

"Enquiries are ongoing.”

A spokesperson for Scottish Fire and Rescue service said: “We received a call at 15.57 from Police Scotland on the A716.

"Four resources are in attendance.”
