Woman rushed to hospital as car left caved in after van crash on Scots road

A woman has been rushed to hospital after a crash on a busy Scots road.

Emergency services raced to the scene of the horror smash which involved a car and van on at Snap Brae in Bo'ness, near Falkirk.

Police, fire and ambulance crews scrambled to the A993 at its junction with the A904.

A 28-year-old woman was taken to hospital by amubulance. Her condition or the severity of her injuries are not known at time.

Pictures from the scene show a silver car smashed up at the side, with its driver door cut off.

Three ambulance, two fire engines and a number of cops were spotted in attendance.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 8.50 am on Tuesday, 29 June, 2021 emergency services received a report of a road traffic collision involving a car and van at Snab Brae, at the Bo’ness junction with A993/A904.

"The 28-year-old female driver of the car was taken to hospital by the Scottish Ambulance Service.

"There are no reports of anyone else injured at this time.

"Enquiries into the circumstances of the collision continue."
