A man has been taken to hospital after being attacked inside a Glasgow sweetie shop.
Police were called to the scene at Candy Galore on Argyle Street at around 12.30pm on Wednesday, May 5.
A large police cordon remains in place outside the city centre store with officers carrying out enquiries in the surrounding area.
It is not currently known what injuries were sustained by the man or which hospital he has been taken to.
Officers say there is no wider threat to the public.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Officers were called to a premises on Argyle Street in Glasgow at around 12.30pm on Wednesday, 5 May following an assault.
“One man has been taken to hospital and officers remain at the scene. Enquiries are ongoing and there is no wider threat to the public."
