Emergency services race to serious crash near M74

Emergency services are at the scene of a serious crash on the A725 this morning.

The southbound carriageway is now closed to traffic between the Bellshill bypass and the M74 Raith carriageway as crews attend the incident, which happened at around 8:53am.

Traffic Scotland warn drivers to avoid the route and expect delays in the area as it is not known when the road will re-open.
