Emergency services have raced to the scene of a crash at East Kilbride this morning.
The incident occurred at about 7am on the eastbound carriageway of the A725 East Kilbride Expressway before the Blantyre turnoff.
Drivers are facing major delays in the area, with traffic beginning to queue up.
Traffic Scotland have advised drivers to take care if they are driving on the road.
A statement on their website reads: "The A725 Eastbound between Whirlies roundabout and the Blantyre off-slip is currently restricted due to a road traffic incident. Motorists are advised to use caution on approach and allow extra time for their journey."
