Emergency services race to crash in Aberdeen as road closed

Emergency services have raced to a crash on Great Northern Road in Aberdeen.

Police officers have locked down the area and closed the road following the incident around 3pm today.

The road is currently closed between Clifton Road and St Machar Drive.

It is not yet known if anyone has been injured in the smash but online reports suggest a pedestrian was involved.

Police are appealing for anyone with dash cam footage to get in touch.

A Police Scotland statement said: "Police Scotland are currently dealing with a road accident Great Northern Road Aberdeen.

"The road is currently closed between Clifton Road and St Machar Drive.

"If anyone has footage on a Dashcam can they contact Police on 101 and quote incident number 1752 16/08/21."
