Emergency services race to Bo'Ness after child pulled from the water

Emergency crews have been seen rushing to Bo'Ness after a child was pulled from the water.

Coast Guard and ambulance teams have been seen at the incident near Edinburgh over the last few hours.

According to the Daily Record, an initial emergency call was made at around 4.46pm on Sunday, January 31.

After receiving the alert, two water rescue units were called out to a small island on the Bo'Ness Fore Shore.

They were also joined by two fire crews and a major response unit.

After beginning their search, mercy crews located the child on the island and pulled them onto a rescue raft.

Ambulance and coast guard crews were spotted at the scene (Daily Record)

On the shore, the child was handed over to the ambulance service for treatment.

At present, the age and condition of the child is unknown.
