Emergency services on scene of 'industrial incident' at Grangemouth chemical plant

Emergency services - including an air ambulance - are dealing with an “industrial incident” in Grangemouth in Stirlingshire.

Police and specialist paramedics were called to the petrochemical plant shortly after 11am this morning.

At least one person has been rushed to hospital.

The nature of the incident is not known.

Two ambulances, an air ambulance and a number of cops are at the scene.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We’re currently assisting the Scottish Ambulance Service with an industrial incident.”
Road closures are in place.

The Scottish Ambulance Service has been contacted for comment
