Emergency services on scene after person struck by vehicle on busy Scots road sparking travel chaos

Emergency services remain at the scene after a person who was knocked down by a car on the A90 near Perth.

Police were called to the northbound carriageway near Kinfauns at around 3.50pm on Friday after the alarm was raised.

It is not currently known whether the person has been injured or taken to hospital.

Traffic Scotland is reporting delays in the surrounding area (Traffic Scotland)

One lane of the busy road remains blocked with heavy queuing traffic reported in the area.

Motorists are being urged to expect delays by Traffic Scotland.

They tweeted: “A90 RTC. Lane 1 (of 2) remains closed on the A90 N/B at Kinfauns due to an RTC. Traffic slow in the area with around 10 minute delays.”

A Police Scotland spokesperson added: “Officers were called to reports of a vehicle colliding with a person on the A90 near Kinfauns around 3.50pm on Friday.

“Officers are still at the scene and one lane is currently closed northbound.”
