Emergency services on scene after massive tyre fire at Scots garage sends plumes of smoke into the sky

Firefighters are currently tackling a large tyre fire at a garage in Aberdeen.

Emergency services raced to the scene on Pitmedden Road at around 4pm on Monday, March 1.

Thick plumes of black smoke have filled the sky and can be seen from miles around, local reports claim.

It is not known whether any injuries have been reported and the incident remains ongoing.

A spokesperson for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service confirmed they are onsite tackling the blaze with two appliances.
