Police, ambulance, and fire crews all arrived promptly at the scene, where they found three casualties - two of whom had already left their vehicles and one who was released after being examined by paramedics.

Thankfully, despite serious damage to the cars involved, nobody is believed to have been seriously injured in the incident.

A spokesperson for Avon Fire and Rescue said: "We were called this morning at 10.07am to reports of a road traffic collision involving three vehicles on Gravel Hill Road, Yate.
