A heavy emergency service presence has descended on one of Kilmarnock's busiest roads tonight.
Police vehicles and an ambulance are currently situated at Riccarton Road, just off the Bellfield Interchange.
It's not yet known why the emergency responders are at what's known locally as the Q8.
An eye-witness has reported at least three police cars, including a van, along with one ambulance.
It's understood that the flow of traffic is being affected by the presence of the emergency services.
Police Scotland have been contacted for comment.
