Emergency services descend on Haggerston Castle Holiday Park over concerns for man

Emergency services have descended on a holiday park in Northumberland over concerns for a man.

Officers from Northumbria Police were called to Haggerston Castle Holiday Park in Northumberland shortly after 11.30am on Tuesday morning.

Police say there was a report of a concern for the welfare of a man and confirmed emergency services attended the scene.

Witnesses from the scene said a number of ambulances also attended the incident with police officers securing the surrounding area.

A Northumbria Police spokesperson said: "Shortly after 11.30am today (Tuesday) we received a report of concern for the welfare of a male at Haggerston Castle Holiday Park, Northumberland.

"Emergency services are at the scene."

The North East Ambulance Service confirmed they were called at 10.30am and requested support from the Great North Air Ambulance Service.

A spokesperson for the North East Ambulance Service said: "We were called to a medical incident in the Haggerston area of Berwick shortly after 10.30am this morning.

"We dispatched two ambulance crews and requested support from the Great North Air Ambulance Service."
