Emergency services dealing with crash between car and cyclist near Edinburgh's city centre

Emergency services were at the scene of a crash involving a car and a cyclist near Edinburgh's city centre.

Police and ambulance crews rushed to the Picardy Roundabout, between London Road and Elm Row, after receiving reports of the incident at 4.30pm.

The cyclist suffered what are believed to be minor injuries.

The road was partially blocked as a result with queues building in both directions during the evening rush hour.

Emergency services left the scene at around 5.10pm but queues are understood to still be heavy.
