Emergency services close road after Audi involved in crash in Stalybridge

Emergency services closed off a road in Stalybridge after an Audi was involved in a crash.

Police were called to the collision on Huddersfield Road at around 12pm today (Thursday).

Pictures taken at the scene show a badly damaged Audi A4 Avant which appears to have its windows smashed through.

Huddersfield Road was closed in both directions after the collision.

It has since been reopened.

Enquiries are ongoing.

In a statement, a spokesperson from Greater Manchester Police said: "At 12pm on Thursday 28 January 2021, police received a report of a collision on Huddersfield Road, Stalybridge.

"Officers are in attendance.

"Enquiries are ongoing."
