Emergency services were called to a two-vehicle crash in County Durham.

Passengers involved were treated at the scene in Seaham by paramedics but no-one needed to be taken to hospital.

Police were called to Lord Byron's Walk at around 10.30am after two vehicles collided and partially blocked the road.

The North East Ambulance Service dispatched a rapid response paramedic to the scene near Seaham Hall and treated a number of people.

A spokeswoman for Durham Constabulary confirmed that all injuries were minor but no further details on patients could be provided.

A spokesman for the ambulance service added: "We got a call at 10.48am to respond to a two vehicle collision.

"We dispatched a rapid response paramedic who treated everyone on scene for minor injuries.

"No one was taken to hospital."
