Emergency services called to street as woman found dead

Emergency services were called to a street in Salford after a woman was found dead at the scene.

Paramedics were called to Boddington Road in Eccles at around 4.40pm yesterday (Monday).

A woman was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

Officers were then called and eyewitnesses reported seeing a police presence on the street.

The woman's death is not being treated as suspicious, a spokesperson for GMP said today (Tuesday).

In a statement, a GMP spokesperson said: "At around 4.40pm on Monday 6 December 2021, police were called by paramedics responding to an incident on Boddington Road, Eccles.

"A woman was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.

"There are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances surrounding her death."
