Emergency services called to man under bridge in Glasgow

Police, fire and ambulance have been called to reports of a man beneath a bridge in Glasgow.

Police Scotland called for help from firefighters after reports of a man on an embankment beneath the bridge that crosses Auldhouse Burn at Auldhouse Avenue.

Witnesses report around 60 personnel at the scene with police, fire and ambulance in attendance.

Firefighters say they were called just after 4am.

A winch has been set up at the scene, with witnesses saying the river is around 20ft below the level of the bridge

At 5.30am Police Scotland said they would not be at the scene much longer, with the roads set to fully reopen.

A person was lifted from the scene and placed on a stretcher at 5.45am.
