Emergency services called to incident in St George

Police, ambulance crews and the fire service were all called to a property in St George last night (Wednesday, April 8).

They were called due to concern for a man's welfare at around 7.15pm, remaining at the scene for around an hour.

The incident occurred in Belfry Avenue. A spokesperson for Avon Fire and Rescue said: "One crew from Kingswood fire station was called to assist ambulance crews at Belfry Avenue in St George.

"On arrival, firefighters gained access to the property before leaving the incident in the hands of the ambulance crews."

Police were also in attendance to help support the fire and rescue and ambulance service.

A spokesperson for Avon and Somerset Constabulary said: "I can confirm officers attended an address in St George at approximately 7.50pm last night after concerns were raised for the welfare of a man."
