Emergency services called to house fire in Lowdham

Firefighters were called overnight to tackle a house fire in Lowdham.

Fire engines from across the county were called to the scene of the incident in Main Street on Tuesday evening (October 26).

A spokeswoman for Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service said: "We can confirm we did get a call at 9.51pm.

"We sent three appliances from Carlton, Bingham and Arnold who were all in attendance. We came away from the scene at 10.33pm."

The fire service said the fire did not spread to neighbouring properties.

The spokeswoman added that crews left after making sure the surrounding area was safe.

Video footage has captured firefighters at the scene.

It shows crews damping down the fire, and one person can be seen stood in the street alongside firefighters.
