Emergency services called to fire in Redcliffe

Fire crews were sent out to a block of flats in Redcliffe last night (October 27).

Firefighters from four stations extinguished a small fire in the bin room at Waring House on Redcliff Hill.

After being called at 9.02pm, they attended the scene and completed the job by 9.21pm.

A fire service spokesperson said: “At 21:02, crews from Temple, Bedminster, Hicks Gate and Kingswood were mobilised to a fire in Waring House on Redcliff Hill.

"On arrival, firefighters used one high pressure hose reel to extinguish the fire. They also used a positive pressure ventilation fan to clear smoke from the property.

"The cause is thought to be accidental.”

A picture taken at the scene showed four fire engines in attendance.
