Emergency services called after car collided with barrier and mounted pavement in Newcastle

Emergency services were called after a vehicle collided with a barrier on a Newcastle road.

The crash happened on City Road, near the Quayside, at around 8.10pm on Tuesday.

The blue Mazda could be seen on the pavement and a nearby barrier was damaged during the incident.

Northumbria Police attended the scene and no-one was injured.

No other vehicles are believed to have been involved in the collision.

A Northumbria Police spokesperson said: “At about 8.10pm we received a report that a vehicle had collided with a barrier on City Road in Newcastle.

“Emergency services attended the scene but nobody was seriously injured and no other vehicles are believed to have been involved.”
