Emergency services battle blaze in city centre

Dublin Fire Brigade have successfully battled a large fire on Francis Street.

The blaze broke out in a building earlier this evening. The fire is now under control but traffic restrictions are still in effect.

Four fire engines were deployed to fight the fire, alongside a turntable ladder. Dublin Fire Brigade confirmed they had brought the fire under control on Twitter.

Staff wrote: "Firefighters are currently dealing with a fire in a building off Francis Street. The fire is under control, traffic restrictions remain in place."
