Emergency services attend scene of dramatic car crash in south Belfast

Emergency services have attended the scene of a car crash in south Belfast.

The collision occurred in Jerusalem Street of the Holyland area of the city on Wednesday afternoon.

It is understood that there was one passenger in the vehicle at the time, Belfast Live reports.

Members of the Northern Ireland Fire Service, PSNI and an ambulance crew attended the incident.

One person, believed to be the driver, was treated for injuries at the scene.

A picture of the scene shows a black car ramped up on a grey parked vehicle as emergency crews assess the incident.

A PSNI spokesperson said: "Members of the emergency services are currently dealing with a single traffic incident in South Belfast.

"Motorists have been asked to avoid the area."
