Emergency services attend incident on Whitehall Road in Leeds

Several emergency services vehicles have been spotted attending an incident on Whitehall Road in Leeds city centre on Wednesday (July 29) night.

According to eye witnesses at the scene, there were three police cars, a fire engine and an ambulance in attendance.

It's thought that the first responders were focused on the canal, but it's unknown what the incident was concerning.

In the photographs which we have been sent, the emergency services vehicles are clearly visible at the bridge over the Leeds and Liverpool Canal.

The city centre location is right outside the offices of newspaper The Yorkshire Post.

LeedsLive has contacted police to ask for more information on the incident.
