Emergency services attend incident by key route in Bristol

Emergency services were called to an incident near a key route in Bristol this afternoon.

Both police and ambulance services attended Perry Street by Stapleton Road on Wednesday (July 20), with at least two police cars present. An eyewitness confirmed that a police presence had been seen near the street.

An eyewitness also spotted an ambulance attending on Webb Street - one road down from Perry Street - at the same time. BristolLive has asked for clarification on whether these incidents are related.

A spokesperson for Avon and Somerset Police confirmed that officers were called to assist the ambulance service this afternoon.

Speaking to BristolLive, a spokesperson for the South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust (SWASFT) said: “We were called at 13.03hrs to an incident in Bristol and sent a rapid response vehicle, a double-crewed land ambulance, a critical care car and an operations officer.”
